Our Creative Process Overview
Step 1
First Contact
We run into each other, whether online or in person, and establish mutual interest. Ideally we like you to fill in the contact us form, to provide more background information about your current situation and needs, so we can start doing research before the next step.
Step 2
Creative Brief Meeting
We set up a time and place to have either an online, telephonic or in person meeting. The purpose of this meeting is for us to learn enough about you and your project so we can compile a creative brief of your project. In engineering terms, in this meeting we'll elicit user requirements and scope
Step 3
Creative Brief Approval
We compile a creative brief, that contains the design and development specifications and parameters of your project. It will serve as the cornerstone of our joint goals, scope, roles and responsibilities, performance indicators, timeframes, reporting frequency, budget and payment terms. Some iterative tweaks may be necessary, until both parties approve the creative brief.
Step 4
Research
We do a market analysis to understand your industry, your target and peripheral audience, and your competitors. We do a SWOT analysis of your brand and any other contextual research required. We document the findings to help guide our further efforts.
Step 5
Ideation
We synthesise what we've learned in a creative brainstorming session, which ends with a mind map of related ideas. We eliminate the bad ideas and elaborate on the good ones, until we're left with only diamonds. We relate this back to the creative brief and market research to ensure we're within your boundary parameters.
Step 6
Design & Prototyping
We design and prototype the winning ideas. Depending on the work scope, we may submit rough drafts to you for your perusal and early feedback, so we can make adjustments where necessary.
Step 7
Develop & Refine
We flesh out the early prototypes, checking against the creative brief and research. Depending on the work, we may submit spot checks to you for progress reporting and feedback. We may also request feedback from select users. We incorporate feedback, dot the i's and cross the t's, until we're happy with the results.
Step 8
Test, test, test
We test any software work and for creative aspects, we request user feedback from a small selected group. We also present our work to you for approval against the creative brief. We iterate over the design, develop & refine, and test phases until we reach go-ahead for launch.
Step 9
Launch
Finally, it's time to go live, and showcase your campaign to the world! We constantly monitor initial response and reception. First impressions are important, and we want record, learn from and improve on those initial reactions.
Step 10
Reporting & Analytics
We report back on our findings from launch, for an agreed upon time period, to measure and communicate success, lessons, and recommendations. To measure is to know!
Step 11
Sign-Off
We evaluate project success and performance as per creative brief, document final findings and sign off the project as complete.
Step 12
Follow Up
We like to track long-term successes and value added, so we will follow up at longer, irregular intervals to see how you and your business is doing.
Note that on smaller projects or lower budgets, we may opt to combine steps or accommodate less modifications, in the interest of saving time and money. On bigger, higher budget projects, we endeavour to follow the process fully. The points in time when payment is required is not shown above, because this depends on the nature of the work and will be agreed upon in the creative brief.
